Multiple area fire departments responded just before 4:30 p.m. to the 1300 block of Butler Street, where they were met with raging flames and dark black smoke billowing through the second-floor windows, according to the news outlet and photos from the scene taken by Easton Fire Pix.

Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries while battling the blaze, which also damaged a vacant neighboring house, the outlet says.

The duplex was demolished overnight due to the extent of the damage, WFMZ reports.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
